Dakarmidi – Aujourd’hui, nos cœurs se tournent vers une figure de constance et de fidélité : Serigne Habib Sy RTA, fils cadet de Cheikh Seydi El Hadji Malick Sy RAT, le Maodo, fondateur de la grande Zawiya de Tivaouane.

Serigne Habib Sy n’était pas un homme de discours vains. Il parlait peu, mais agissait beaucoup. Il enseignait par l’exemple. Dans ses dahiras, on apprenait le Wird, on récitait les qassidas, on éduquait la jeunesse. Dans ses conseils, on entendait l’écho de Tivaouane : l’unité, la tolérance, le travail et la dignité.
Ainsi, il est devenu un pont entre deux peuples frères, le Sénégal et la Gambie. Un relais vivant de la baraka de Maodo, qui rappelle que la mission tidiane ne connaît pas de frontières.
Aujourd’hui qu’il nous a quittés, sa trace demeure. Dans les cœurs des talibés de Banjul comme de Tivaouane, dans les récitations du soir, dans la mémoire collective des disciples d’ici et d’ailleurs.
Qu’Allah lui fasse miséricorde, l’accueille au Paradis, et nous fasse profiter de sa bénédiction et de celle de son vénéré père.
