Dakarmidi – À l’approche du Magal de Touba, toute la communauté mouride tourne son cœur vers un seul nom : Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacké. Fondateur de la confrérie des Mourides, il n’est pas seulement un guide religieux. Il est une ascension vivante, une preuve que la foi, portée par la patience et le travail, peut transformer un homme et un peuple.
Né en 1853 à Mbacké Baol, Serigne Touba grandit dans une maison de savoir. Très tôt, il se distingue par une soif de Dieu et une rigueur qui étonnent. Alors que d’autres cherchent le pouvoir, lui cherche Dieu. Il écrit, il enseigne, il prie. Ses premiers écrits, comme « Jazbul Murid » ou « Massalikul Jinan », ne sont pas des traités de théologie compliqués. Ce sont des lettres d’amour à Dieu, des manuels pour purifier l’âme.
Ce qui fait la dimension exceptionnelle de son ascension, c’est l’épreuve. Face à la colonisation, Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba refuse la compromission. Il choisit la voie du « jihadou nafs » : le combat contre soi-même. Exil au Gabon, déportation en Mauritanie, assignation à résidence. Cinq ans dans la solitude de l’Atlantique, des années de brimades. Partout, il répond par la prière, le dhikr et la confiance absolue en Allah. La tradition mouride raconte que durant ces épreuves, il ne cessa d’écrire et de méditer. La souffrance devint école, la prison devint retraite spirituelle.
De cette traversée naît Touba. En 1887, il fonde la ville sainte au cœur du Baol. Touba n’est pas une capitale politique. C’est un projet spirituel : une terre dédiée au travail, à la solidarité et à l’adoration. « Labourer et prier » devient la devise. Le champ et la mosquée se répondent. Le disciple mouride apprend que la dignité passe par ses mains et que la grandeur passe par son cœur.
Aujourd’hui, à cette heure, sur les cinq continents, les « xassaïd » de Serigne Touba sont psalmodiés avec une ferveur religieuse hors du commun. C’est la preuve que Bamba est devenu un homme universel. Un modèle dans la manière d’adorer Allah SWT, son Créateur, qui a fait de lui l’un des plus grands chantres du Prophète Mouhamed PSL. Sa voix traverse les langues, les cultures et les frontières, et rappelle à chaque cœur que l’amour du Prophète est un chemin vers Dieu.
Le Magal commémore son départ en exil en 1895. Mais au-delà du souvenir historique, c’est une respiration collective. Des millions de pèlerins convergent vers la Grande Mosquée. Ils ne viennent pas seulement se souvenir d’une séparation. Ils viennent recharger une énergie. L’énergie de quelqu’un qui a transformé l’épreuve en élévation, l’exil en force spirituelle.
À la tête de cette communauté aujourd’hui, Serigne Mountakha Bassirou Mbacké assure le khilafa avec intelligence et détermination. Il guide avec clarté et vision, en préservant l’unité des talibés, en promouvant le travail, l’éducation et la solidarité. Il tient la balance avec justice et justesse, accueillant tous sans distinction et rappelant que la grandeur du mouridisme tient dans l’humilité, la prière et le service. Sous son khilafa, le champ et la mosquée continuent de se répondre, et l’héritage de Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba se vit au présent.
L’héritage de Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba dépasse les frontières du Sénégal. Il a montré qu’on peut résister sans haine, construire sans violence, et réussir sans renier ses valeurs. Son enseignement reste d’une actualité troublante : éduquer, travailler avec foi, aimer son prochain, mettre Dieu au centre de tout.
En ce Magal, rendre hommage à Serigne Touba, c’est accepter son invitation. Marcher un peu plus droit. Travailler un peu plus sincèrement. Prier un peu plus profondément.
