À compter de ce samedi 15 août 2026, les prix du supercarburant et du gasoil augmentent respectivement de 70 et 75 F CFA au Sénégal. Le ministère de l’Énergie et du Pétrole justifie cette décision par la flambée des cours pétroliers liée au conflit au Moyen-Orient.
Depuis le 13 juillet, le gasoil a grimpé de 26,6 % et le supercarburant de 12 % sur les marchés internationaux. Depuis le début du conflit, ces hausses atteignent même 69 % pour le gasoil et 61 % pour le supercarburant.
Face à cette pression, l’État sénégalais, qui supportait déjà plus de 245 milliards de F CFA de subventions depuis janvier, a choisi de revenir aux tarifs en vigueur avant la baisse du 6 décembre 2025. Désormais, le supercarburant est affiché à 990 F CFA/litre et le gasoil à 755 F CFA/litre. Les autres produits pétroliers, eux, restent inchangés.
Sans cet ajustement, précise le communiqué, les subventions auraient atteint près de 47,27 milliards de F CFA pour la seule période du 15 août au 12 septembre 2026.
