Diarrere dans la région de Fatick, est durement touchée par les dernières pluies. Plusieurs quartiers de cette localité se retrouvent sous les eaux, plongeant de nombreuses familles dans une situation particulièrement difficile. Face à l’ampleur des dégâts, certains habitants ont été contraints de quitter leurs maisons pour trouver refuge ailleurs.
Cette situation préoccupante n’a pas laissé indifférent Dibcor FAYE, leader politique du Parti socialiste et fils du terroir. Accompagné d’une forte délégation, il s’est rendu à Diarrere pour constater de visu les difficultés auxquelles sont confrontées les populations et s’enquérir de leurs besoins.
Sur place, Dibcor FAYE a échangé avec les habitants et les responsables du comité d’urgence. A l’issue de cette visite, il a mis à leur disposition deux motopompes ainsi que plus de 800 mètres linéaires de tuyaux destinés à l’évacuation des eaux, un appui dont la valeur est estimée à plus de deux millions de francs CFA.
Ce geste a été chaleureusement accueilli par les populations, qui ont profité de la présence de leur fils pour exposer leurs nombreuses doléances.
Au-delà de la situation liée aux inondations, les habitants ont notamment évoqué les difficultés structurelles auxquelles fait face la commune, confrontée à un déficit d’infrastructures et à un manque de moyens dans plusieurs secteurs.
Au-delà de l’urgence, la nécessité d’anticiper
Pour Dibcor FAYE, l’intervention ne doit cependant pas se limiter à une réponse ponctuelle face aux inondations.
Face aux difficultés récurrentes rencontrées par les populations pendant l’hivernage, il entend poursuivre son soutien à la commune afin de contribuer à la mise en place de voies d’évacuation, de canaux et d’autres ouvrages susceptibles de faciliter le drainage des eaux.
L’objectif est de permettre à Diarrere de mieux faire face aux fortes pluies et d’éviter que les populations ne revivent les mêmes difficultés lors des prochains hivernages, notamment celui de 2027.
À travers cette visite et cet appui d’urgence, Dibcor FAYE entend ainsi réaffirmer son engagement aux côtés des populations de sa localité d’origine, en privilégiant une démarche fondée à la fois sur la solidarité, l’écoute et l’action concrète.
