Jeudi dernier, un cas similaire a été signalé à l’hôpital Dalal Jamm. Venus accomplir les formalités pour récupérer le corps d’un des leurs, admis aux urgences dans la nuit de mercredi, les proches du défunt ont eu une mauvaise surprise : on leur a annoncé qu’ils devaient s’acquitter d’une facture de 1 082 700 FCFA, correspondant à des fournitures médicales indispensables, provenant de prestataires privés et utilisées lors de l’intervention sur le patient.

Certains jeunes, exaspérés, se sont rebellés au sein de l’hôpital, exigeant à tout prix que le corps leur soit rendu.
Finalement, l’hôpital a accepté d’annuler sa propre facture de 300.000, mais a maintenu l’obligation de payer intégralement les 1 082 700 FCFA réclamés par les fournisseurs privés. Les proches, contraints et forcés, ont fini par s’exécuter tant bien que mal.
